SELIGMAN, Mo. — J.W. Wishon, 93, of Seligman, Mo., passed away Jan. 18, 2021, in his home. He was born June 22, 1927.
He was a hard worker who was a self-taught welder and mechanic. He worked for Fulton Sanitation for many years. In his earlier years, he enjoyed farming and raising cattle. More recently, he loved working in his garden and especially aggravating his grandkids and great-grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Wishon, in 2006, daughter Janice Fair and son Darrell Wishon.
He is survived by son Ricky Wishon (Greta) of Seligman; daughters Shirley Chandler (Jerry) of Seligman, Catherine Underdown of Osage, Ark., and Judy Eastep of Seligman; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Rollins Funeral Home, Rogers, Ark. A funeral service will be Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021, at 11 a.m. in Bayless Cemetery, Gateway, Mo. Online condolences can be made at www.rollinsfuneral.com.

SELIGMAN, Mo. — Dorothy Wishon, 69, of Seligman died June 6, 2006, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. She was born Dec. 19, 1936, in Wyandotte, Okla., to Charlie and Annie Mae Davis McDonald. She was retired from Emerson Electric Co. and was a member of New Hope Assembly of God. Her interests included reading, fishing and rose gardening.
Survivors include her husband, J.W. Wishon of the home; two sons, Ricky Wishon and wife Greta of Seligman and Darrell Wishon and wife Velda of Little Flock; four daughters, Catherine Underdown and husband David of Green Forest, Janice Fair and husband Jay of Seligman, Judy Eastep of Seligman and Shirley Chandler and husband Jerry of Seligman; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today at Bayless Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Griffin officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Wishon, Shannon Wishon, Jason Fieds, Davey Baker, Chris Baker and Gary Underdown.
Arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
