MRS. SARAH CREEKMORE
Mrs. Sarah Ellen Creekmore, 77 years old, died at her home in Alma at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 18, after a short illness.
Mrs. Creekmore was a member of the Methodist church, and a lifelong resident of Alma, Arkansas.
She is survived by her husband; five daughters; three sons; three sisters; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The body was returned to the home at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning. Funeral service was held at 2:30 p.m. at Newberry Chapel. Rev. Thomas Whiddon, Methodist minister, officiated. Burial was in Newberry cemetery under direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Mrs. Creekmore had attended the funeral of Mrs. Ball Friday afternoon at Newberry Chapel.
She was ill when she awoke Saturday morning and lived only a short time. Her brother, Oscar of New York City arrived in Tulsa Sunday at 1 a.m. by plane to attend the funeral. He was met there by Dalton and Gene.
Mrs. Creekmore is survived also by a step-brother. All the family except Mrs. Cooper came back to attend the funeral service.
