Charles David Riddle, 95, of Van Buren, Arkansas passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 in a local hospital.
Charles was born in Gainsville, Texas on October 19, 1922 to the late Robert and Mary (Coker) Riddle.

He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Veneda L. Riddle and a brother, Slim Riddle.

He was a manager of S&Q Clothiers and the men’s department at J.C. Penny, a member of the First Baptist Church in Fort Smith and an Army and Air Force veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Ulrich Riddle of the home; 3 daughters, Sandy Hale and husband Bill of Alma, AR, Brenda S. Lively and husband Douglas of Fort Smith, AR and Tammie Smith of AR; 1 brother Robert Riddle and wife Ann of Fayetteville, AR; 1 sister, Zelda Gibbs of Big Springs, TX; 2 grandchildren, Jeff Poole and wife Heather and Nick Lively and wife Rana; 2 great-grandchildren, Jaden Poole and Shelbi Dority; 2 step-daughters, Susette and husband Tom of IL and Jeanette MacPeek and husband Don of Alma, AR; 1 step-son, Joe Ulrich and wife Bibianna of IL and several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with private family interment at Bolton Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Pallbearers will be Doug Lively, Nick Lively, Bill Hale, Bill Lane, Don MacPeek and Cal Westerhof.
