Shirley Ann Harris, 75, died Sept. 11, 2020. She was born Feb. 9, 1945, to John T. and Gladys Ogden Pomoransky.

After graduation from Fayetteville High School, she began working at Washington Regional Medical Center as a nurse's aide on the surgical orthopedic floor. She was transferred to Central Supply Services where she was a supervisor for six years and an instrument technician in 1980. She received a letter of commendation and a special gift from the WRMC Board of Governors and Administration for her years of service. She retired from WRMC in 1981 after 20 years of service.

She and her husband Roger became Emergency Medical Technicians and operated the Pea Ridge Ambulance Service for several years. She loved baseball and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. She enjoyed knitting, crossword puzzles and playing on the ham radio. The most exciting four minutes of her life was when she contacted the Russian MIR Space Station through her ham radio and home computer.

Most important of all was her love and devotion to God. She was a member of the Pea Ridge Baptist Church. She was a blessing to all who knew her and she leaves her beautiful legacy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Earl Hutton; maternal grandparents, Pleas and Ida Ogden; and paternal grandparents, Michael and Francis Patykewich Pomoransky.

Survivors are her husband of 45 years, Roger Harris of Pea Ridge; sister, Sharon Peoples (Ken) of Lowell; brothers, John Pomoransky (Susan) of Fayetteville and Harold Hutton (Jan) of Van Buren; nieces, Malia Stratton (C.J.) of Bentonville, Lisa Allan (Brian) of Elkins, Laura Walden (Kevin) of Kingston, Kim Craig, Markita Den-Herder, Amber Podvin, Dana Paech, Tammy Blakemore, Debbie Harris, Sherry Stephens and Jamie Myer; nephews, Bryan Peoples (Ashley) of Cave Springs, Jacob Hutton of Van Buren, and Eddie Rush.
