Bonnie Smith Jones, 73, of Fordyce died Friday, August 31, 2018 at Courtyard Rehabilitation and Nursing Home of El Dorado, Arkansas. She was born on February 8, 1945 to the late Floyd Cecil and Clara Young Smith.
Bonnie was a local beautician for 44 years owning her own beauty shop. She was Secretary and Treasurer of Ebenezer Cemetery and Word Deer Camp for more than 20 years. She loved to hunt and fish. She was also a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church and she loved her Sunday school class.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her first husband of 24 years, Howard Wayne Smith; brother, Cecil Smith; in-laws, Howard and Mildred Smith, and Annie Jones.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Billy Ray Jones; her daughter, Cindy (Rudy) Ruth of El Dorado; son, Jason (Tina) Smith of Prescott; step-son, Danny (Karen) Jones of Fordyce; step daughter, Cindy (Jerry Don) Langford of New Edinburg; two sisters, Betty (Jimmy) Hardman of Pine Bluff, Sandy (Billy) Rothwell of Little Rock; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Graveside services will be 10:00 am Monday at Ebenezer Cemetery with Rev. Nathan Petty officiating.
