Elois White passed away, Wednesday, June 13, 2007 Buena Vida Nursing Home. She was born in 1912 in Fordyce, AR to Carl C. and Louella Hornaday Gray.

She was a graduate of El Dorado Junior College of El Dorado, AR. She married Oscar T. White, of El Dorado in 1933.

Elois was a longtime resident of Seminole, TX. The family moved to West Texas in 1941 where Mr. White was employed by Mobil Oil, they lived there until 1963 before returning to Arkansas. Mrs. White was active as a nurse for some 18 years while in Seminole.

She moved to Texas from Arkansas in 1996 to be with her son and family. She was a member of the Daughters of the Revolution, was active in church work at First Baptist Church in El Dorado, AR, was active for some years as a Pink Lady in hospital service in El Dorado, and is a member of the First Baptist Church of Odessa.

Mrs. White is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by a son, Carl White and wife Albernita, of Odessa, TX, two grandchildren, Katrece Hale and husband Les of Ozona, TX, and Todd White and wife Jo Lyn of Palestine, TX, and two great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Ebenezer Cemetery in Fordyce, AR with her grandson, Rev. Todd White officiating.

Services are entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
