Charles Gene Sinor
of Mountain Home, AR
January 21, 1939--March 2, 2022

On March 2nd, 2022, at 11:19 pm, Charles Gene Sinor laid down his burden and departed this life at Baxter Regional Medical Center, due to complications from pneumonia. He was 83 years old. He was born January 21st, 1939, on Bruce Creek at home to his mother Lucy Ora Stafford Sinor and his father, William Theodore Sinor in Baxter County, AR. He was predeceased by his first wife, Chiyoko Glendora Akimoto Sinor (71), of 44 years, on October 17th, 2004. He's survived by his second wife, Hazel Laverne Allen Sinor (82), of Mountain Home, AR; his eldest son, Dr. Cleve Ray-Dean Sinor (56), his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Rhonda Erickson Sinor (48), his grandsons, Koan John Sinor (15), and Broderick Charles Sinor (11); his daughter, Mrs. Naomi Sinor Woods (55), his son-in-law, Mr. Michael Trew Woods (53), and his granddaughter, Hayleigh Chiyoko Woods (15); his youngest son, Mr. Byron Charles Sinor (50) and his stepson, Mr. Thomas Randal Johnson (55). Charles Gene Sinor lived his life putting himself last. His wife, his children, even the family dogs or cat, came first. He loved with his entire heart and soul and left his family feeling very blessed to have had him as the patriarch of their family. He left his friends feeling fortunate to have called him a friend. Charles Gene Sinor wasn't just happy to help a friend in need, he was eager to do so. If he could help you out that made him the most happy of all. He served his country for 2 years in the Army and then 26 years in the Navy, before retiring from active duty. He served from the beginning of the Vietnam War until its end. He continued serving his country as a naval contractor, outfitting naval ships to deliver to foreign governments. He did this work for another 20 years. He made friends wherever he went and called many Turkish naval personnel his personal friends. He never met a stranger. He loved telling jokes, stories about his life growing up in Arkansas and living in Japan and his adventures from his many sea duty posts. He loved watching the Arkansas Razorbacks and he loved Ford Trucks and their product line (stubbornly so); but mostly he just loved his family and his friends. In short, Charles Gene Sinor by any metric, made a huge success of his life by the lives he loved and touched. He will be missed greatly and remembered for the love he brought into the lives of so many.
