BELLA VISTA — Joyce Tinklenberg went to be with our Lord on Aug. 22, 2011, at her home in Bella Vista. She was born on July 6, 1925 in Florence, Minn.
She was married for 65 years to Meryl Tinklenberg. She and her husband raised their family in Roseville, Minn., until October 1985 when they moved to Bella Vista, Ark., to enjoy a wonderful life in retirement. She was an avid bowler and golfer. When arthritis threatened to end her bowling career, she had two more holes drilled in her bowling ball and continued to bowl right up until the year of her death. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking. Joyce was a member of the Community Church of Bella Vista.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Cecelia Peterson and 11 of her 12 siblings.
She will be greatly missed by her two children, James Tinklenberg and Cynthia Rowan and son-in-law, Terry; five grandkids; five great-grandkids; and many relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011 at the Bella Vista Community Church, 75 East Lancashire with Dr. Anna Teel officiating. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bella Vista Community Church, 75 East Lancashire, Bella Vista, AR 72714.
