Malinda Kennedy was the daughter of Nathan Kennedy and Catherine "Kitty" (Carpenter) Kennedy and granddaughter of J. Alexander Kennedy and Elender (Lavin) Kennedy and Owen Carpenter, Jr. and Sarah Rachel (Smith) Carpenter.
Malinda Kennedy married Newton Carpenter.
