Thelma V. Lesar
Thelma V. Lesar, 93, of Anderson, Mo., formerly of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas died in Anderson, MO. She was born in Scotland, South Dakota.
She graduated from the University of Illinois and taught remedial reading to High school students in New Hampton, Iowa. She retired to Horseshoe Bend and served on the library board.
She is survived by two daughters, seven grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Proceeded in death by her husband James C. Lasar, two brothers; Gary Leonard and Glen Leonard and one sister Marie Greetings.

HORSESHOE BEND — James C. Lesar, 84, of Horseshoe Bend, died Saturday, Dec. 29, in St. Louis.
He was retired from Ralston Purina Corp. and was a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Lesar of Horseshoe Bend; two daughters, Kay Roe of Horseshoe Bend and Jean Gayer of St. Louis; and four grandchildren, Jennifer White, James Roe, Mollie Gayer and Paul Gayer.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Horseshoe Bend, under the direction of Bopp Chapel in Kirkwood, Mo. Burial will be private.
