Richard Titsworth, 71, of Van Buren died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, in his home. He was born May 27, 1941, in the Yoestown community to late M.C. and Anna Titsworth. He was a retired truck driver for Dan-Marr Transport in Van Buren and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Titsworth; and three sons, Richard, Dansby and David Titsworth.

He is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Young and her husband James of Van Buren; five grandchildren, Cynthia McArthur and her husband John, Jerrod Young, Caleb Young and Brianna and Randy Titsworth; and four great-grandchildren, Marina Pratt, Johna McArthur, Michael McArthur and Ebony.

Mr. Titsworth will lie in state today and Sunday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.

Burial at Yoestown Cemetery will be held privately under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.

Alice Cynthia Titsworth, 54, of Alma, died Wednesday, May 28, 1997, in a local hospital. She was a Baptist and a checker at Simmons Food Service.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at Yoestown Cemetery in Yoestown under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; a daughter, Cynthia Young of Van Buren; three, Richard Alan Titsworth, Dansby Lee Titsworth and David Michael Titsworth, all of Alma; two sisters, Marcella Flaherty of Commerce, Oklahoma, and Mary Lynn Lucas of Leavenworth, Kansas; a brother, William Cooksey of Fayetteville; and three grandchildren.
