EWING - Kay Noggle, 56, formerly of Conway, passed away on October 28, 2008, at her home in Tulsa, OK, surrounded by her family.

Kay was a 1970 graduate of Conway High School and a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas where she graduated with honors in 1974. As the Sr. Class president, she was named one of five outstanding students at the university. She was also named in "Who's Who in American Colleges" in 1973 and 1974. Kay went on to earn her Masters degree at the University of Kansas, serving as an instructor and graduating with Top Honors.

After school Kay taught at St. Joseph's in Conway and began a career with Southwestern Bell in 1978 where she advanced through three levels of management with the company. With the birth of Halley in 1985, Kay worked tirelessly with educators in St. Louis, Tulsa, Dallas, and Atlanta advocating for the equal representation of all children in schools and in public life. She forged the way to have children with special needs integrated into inclusive classrooms and educational settings, initiating the first program of its kind in Atlanta.

Her passions for music, art, and literature, as well as her belief in the positive creative potential of all people have been passed on to her children and all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Ewing; daughter, Halley Grace Ewing; son, Samuel Dylan Ewing; and step-daughter, Stephanie Ewing all of Tulsa; 1 sister, Brenda Sawyer, of Blytheville; and 2 brothers, Merrill Noggle and wife, Sharon, of Conway, and Kellar Noggle and wife, Sherrill of Romance.
