BELLA VISTA — Artie Ann Peterson, 81, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away peacefully Jan. 31, 2016. She was born Sept. 25, 1934, in Wesley, Ark., to Jesse and Willie (Reynolds) McCoy.
Artie enjoyed a 30-year career as a licensed practical nurse. She spent her life nurturing and caring for her patients and loved ones.
She loved dancing, singing, playing bingo, concerts in the park and a good glass of white zinfandel at the end of the day.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and five brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Debora Houghtby (John) of Sacramento, Calif., her sons, Dennis and Alicia Peterson of Bella Vista, Ark., David Peterson of Fayetteville, Ark., and Danial (Bo) Peterson of Clearwater, Fla., 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 1 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, at Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark. Pastor Fred Schaap will officiate.
Graveside service will be held at Bella Vista Memorial Garden Cemetery, 34 Buckstone Drive, Bella Vista, Ark. immediately following the memorial service.
