Jerry Wayne Spence, age 74 of Searcy, passed from this life on Monday, August 24, 2020 at his home. He was born February 8, 1946 in Judsonia to James William Spence and LaVerne Mae Betts Spence. He worked for many years as a Master Electrician, was a member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors and was a member of the Floyd First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Glenna Spence; one son, Todd Spence of Searcy; three daughters, Andrea McKane and husband Scott of Searcy, Amy Littleton and husband Jason of Little Rock, Emily Shaffer and husband Glenn of Searcy; eight grandchildren, Connor, Lauren and Matthew McKane, Ava Lily and Phoebe Shaffer, Sam Green and wife Kimberly, Cheyenne Green; two great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Jacob Green; one brother-in-law, Jerry M. Jones of Thompsonville, Illinois; one nephew, Kent Jones of Thompsonville; and one niece, Kerry Jones of Benton, Illinois. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and LaVerne Spence; and one sister, Peggy J. Jones.

Visitation is Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Powell Funeral Home in Searcy.

Funeral services are Saturday at 2:00 pm at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Hammons Chapel Cemetery.
