Dixie Carol Clay, age 61, passed away peacefully at her home on June 18, 2012. Dixie was the oldest of three girls born to the late Raymond & Louise Sanders. She came into this world February 13, 1951. She attended Lakeside School. She married the late Charles Joseph Henderson and became a loving, devoted, hardworking mother of two. Dixie is preceded in death by her beloved son Charles "Joe" Henderson. She is survived by her spouse, Jerry Clay; her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Henderson & James Hodges; two sisters and brother-in-laws, Brenda & Jerry Godwin, and Patti Gail & Donnie Jones; two grandchildren Charles & Kimberly Henderson; one great-granddaughter, Abbigail Louise Scantling, one niece, Samantha Norwood and one Nephew, Michael Scantling all of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Two step-daughters, Lajuanna Clay-Baggs of DeQueen, Mistie Arivett of Langley; one step-son Don Clay of Hope; three step-grandchildren and two sister-in-laws Pam Edson and Shirley and Gary Hunt of Atoka, Oklahoma along with many friends, loved ones and extended family. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 20, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. The graveside service will be Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Fourche Loupe Cemetery. Pallbearers include James Hodges, TJ Tiernan, Jeffrey Hodges, Steve Batterton, Roger Erwin, and Danny Erwin. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Godwin, Donnie Jones and Gary Hunt.
