Nona Mae Kardon, 81, of Searcy went to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 11, 2014. She was born on Saturday, February 20, 1932 in Rose Bud, Arkansas to the late Joseph Daniel and Jewell L. Heggie Rushin.

She was a retired electronic technician and computer programmer, a member of Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church and she loved to garden, sing, fishing and helping on the farm.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Adel Rushin; a sister, Thelma Cook; and her beloved companion, Billy E. Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Bill and his wife Elaine Drake of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; grandchildren, Brett and Miriam Drake (Joseph, Matthew, Timothy and Stephanie) and Carie and James Laster (Jacob and Kassidy); her sister, Jo Ellen Rushin; her extended family, Bobby and Wanda Smith, Jimmy Smith and Kim, Jacky Smith and Brenda and Charles and Linda Feather all of Searcy; 25 extended grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home (501)268-3546, 4:00-7:00pm, Monday, January 13, 2014. Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Tuesday, January 14, 2014 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery in Center Hill.

Memorials may be made to the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church.
