Virginia Lee Meredith, 85, of Hot Springs, went home to be with our Lord on November 24, 2017.
Virginia was born on November 17, 1932 in Bismarck, Arkansas to Lee and Linnie (Shuffield) Williams. Because her mother died when Virginia was just 12 years old, she took on the role of mother to her younger siblings.
Virginia attended Lakeside School and soon met the love of her life and soulmate Robert Meredith. They were married 54 years until Robert passed in 2004. They had four children, Debbie Johnston, Randy Meredith, Dana Meredith and Jennifer Reding, all of Hot Springs. Virginia devoted her life to her husband and children.
She is predeceased by her parents, Lee and Linnie Williams; husband, Robert Meredith; grandson, Kevin Johnston; two brothers, Virgil and J.E. Williams; five sisters, Estelle Robbins, Lessie Fell, Oma Taylor, Edna Williams and Imogene Wilkerson; and many loving cousins and friends.
She is survived by her four children; her brother and best friend, Will Williams and his wife, Faye; nine grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Virginia was loved by all and will be forever loved and forever missed.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 28, 2017 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Bro. George Vincent officiating.
Interment will be in Fouche Loupe Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday evening.
Pallbearers will be Chase Bradford, Justin Sahm, William Ray, Dillon Meredith, Jacob Meredith and Brian Meredith.
