Barbara Ann Henderson, 75, of Hot Springs, AR passed away Friday, March 8, 2013. She was born September 9, 1937 in Waterloo, AR to the late Nelson W. Caldwell and Myrl. M. Caldwell Jackson. Barbara spent most of her life in Hot Springs. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Orvis T. Henderson, her father, Nelson Caldwell, brother, Don Jackson and step-father, Clyde Jackson. Barbara is survived by her mother; daughters, Debbie (Jim) Henderson-Bedwell of Memphis, TN and Wanda (Garry) Bradley of Hot Springs; son, David A. Henderson of Pearcy, AR; grandsons, Michael (Alana) Bradley of Berwyn, IL, Daniel A. Bradley of Hot Springs and Jeremy Henderson of Hot Springs; brother-in-law, Horace (Barbara) Henderson of Bryant, AR and their four children; and sister-in-law, Floyce Green of El Centro, CA and her four children. Barbara’s hobbies included arts and crafts, painting and fishing. Barbara loved nature and animals of all kinds, especially her beloved chicken, Sugarpie, and her parakeets, Sugar and Baby. “Be happy that we had so many years together. I gave you my love. You can only guess how much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love each one of you has shown. But now it is time I traveled on alone.” Barbara will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Fouche Loupe Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Monday with Chaplain Billy Blackmon officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Special thanks to the staff of Dierksen Hospice, including her special friend, Denise Thornton, who made every day brighter; thank you to Megan Lindsey, Belinda Bates, Chaplain Herb Morgan, Kimberly Green, Dr. Scott Erwin and nurse, Sue Magar, and her special caregiver Danne, who will always hold a special place in our heart. Also a special thank you to Clayton Moen and his wife, Tammy. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
