Mother Myrtle Lee Clemons-Miller was born to Mr. Lennie and Emmaline Darling- Clemons on January 27, 1935, in Eldorado, Arkansas. Her growth in Christ started at the early age of twelve years old at the Rock Island Church of God in Christ in El Dorado, Arkansas, under the guidance of Bishop H.W. Satterwhite.

Mother Miller joined the Plum Street Church of God in Christ in Eldorado, Arkansas, under the guidance of Pastor Lewis Cook. Following the spiritual guidance of the Lord, Mother Miller joined with her brother, Superintendent Lennie Clemons Jr. She became a founding member of the Wesson St. Church of God in Christ, where she served as Sunday School Superintendent. Mother Miller became an ordained Evangelist Missionary in July 1992, under the leadership of Bishop H.W. Satterwhite, and accepted her call with grace and earnestness. She also served as “Home Foreign Mission President “for the Eldorado District. God spoke to Mother Miller, and she joined with her son, Superintendent Herman Hayes, at New Beginnings Church of God in Christ, where she served as District Missionary for the Magnolia East District. Mother Miller was later appointed “Head Church Mother,” where she served until her transition.

On January 22, 1954, Mother Myrtle Lee Clemons-Miller gave her heart and hand to Willie B. Miller Sr. and joined in holy matrimony. She loved, cherished, and took care of him until God required her presence in heaven. They shared a lifetime of love, joy, and unity. Together they grew in Christ and learned to acknowledge Christ in their daily walk.

God Taketh…

The blessed and fruitful life of Mother Myrtle Miller ended when God called His faithful servant home, Saturday, February 20, 2021.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Willie B. Miller Sr. Seven sons; Supt. Herman Hayes, Sr. (Delores), Willie B. Miller Jr., Supt. Eddie Lee Miller (Edwina), Elder. Rickey L. Miller, Sr (Charlotte), Marvin D. Miller, Michael L. Miller (Veronica), Lennie R. Miller (deceased), Tony D. Miller(Riva)(deceased), Steven B. Miller (deceased), & William M. Miller. Six daughters: Miss. Bertha D. Mitchell (Roy), Myrtle “Charise” Easter (Darryl), Beverly “Shon” Ross (Jeremy), Miss. Stephanie Owens (Cashaundee), Shymecca T. Hill, & Dorneshia R. Boyd (Jackie), Mother Norma Jean Blackmon (deceased), Emma E. Miller(deceased). One brother, Supt. Lennie Clemons, Jr (Sandra) and one brother-in-law, Rev. Leon Miller Jr (Helen). Two Sisters: Mother Mary Ford, & Evangelist Erma Jean Britt, and a host of relatives & friends.

Mother Myrtle Clemons-Miller’s memories will forever be cherished by her family and Husband Deacon Willie B. Miller of Sixty- Sixty (66) years.
