*When Elijah Whitney was born on April 22, 1814, in Kentucky, his father, Hiram, was 29 and his mother, Mary, was 25. He married Mary A Anderson on February 22, 1842, in Fayette, Tennessee. They had five children in 11 years. He died on February 15, 1873, in Kensett, Arkansas, at the age of 58, and was buried there.
Mary A Anderson was born on June 6, 1821, in Tennessee. She married Elijah Whitney on February 22, 1842, in Fayette, Tennessee. They had five children in 11 years. She died on December 12, 1872, at the age of 51, and was buried in Kensett, Arkansas.
