April 1, 1889 - June 26, 1965
Lizie Viola Daniels, 76, 1003 March Ave., died Saturday in a local hospital following a long illness. Mrs. Daniels was born in Union County on April 1, 1889, and was the daughter of John and Mary Sawyer Andrews. Survivors include her husband, G. F. Daniels of El Dorado; two sons, Curtis Daniels of El Dorado, and Ervin Daniels of Junction City; one daughter, Mrs. Earl White of Magnolia; one step-son, Louie Daniels of El Dorado; one step-daughter, Mrs. Mervin McGaugh of El Dorado; three brothers, Richard Andrews, Tom Andrews and Clifford Andrews all of El Dorado; three sisters, Mrs. Ron Davis, Mrs. Mary Welch and Mrs. Martha Baker, all of El Dorado; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:30 Monday in the Bethel Chapel with Rev. Dewel H. Smith officiating. Rev. Murphy Smith assisted. Burial followed in the Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. Pallbearers were Harold Daniels, J. L. Morgan, Crooksey Carelock, Donald Cassidy, Lester Andrews, and Clyde McGaugh. (The El Dorado Times - June 28, 1965)
