Mrs. Bessie Lee Cathey, 63, of 815 Marsh Ave., died in a local hospital Saturday. She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Cathey and William Frank Cathey, both of El Dorado; a daughter, Mrs. Roy McGaugh, Tokyo, Japan; three brothers, Nolan G. Marshall, of Bearden, Frank R. Marshall, Jr., of Bastrop, La., and Marvin (Jack) Marshall, Crossett; three sisters, Mrs. Emma McCall, Mrs. Helen Jordan, and Mrs. Lucile Byars, all of Bearden; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services was at the Pratt Chapel at 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. M. W. Miller officiating. Burial was held in the Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Pratt Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Frank McGowen, Jimmy Griffith, Earl Griffith, Jewel Drummond, Leroy Duvall, and Dale Pearce. (The El Dorado Times - March 21, 1966)
