*When Walter Wall Dacus was born on August 18, 1896, in Water Valley, Kentucky, his father, William, was 37 and his mother, Virginia, was 30. He married Norvassa "Vivian" (Smoot) Dacus Elliot on September 19, 1917, in Obion, Tennessee. He then married Rose Evelyn (Stoner) Dacus and they had two children together. He died on September 23, 1981, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 85, and was buried there.
