Ona Mae Earp, age 89 of Searcy, Arkansas, died Saturday, March 18, 2017 at her home. She was born April 9, 1927 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Charles Onas Briggs and Vessie Ester Moody Briggs. She was a member of Valley Baptist Church in Searcy. She is survived by two daughters, Norma Earp of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Lea Holtz and husband Jeff of Searcy; three grandchildren, Amanda Holtz Roussel and husband Blake, Rebekah Holtz Taylor and husband Blake, Justin Holtz; seven great-grandchildren, Madison McNichols, Avery Roussel, Abigail Taylor, Judah Taylor, Braxton Roussel, Lydia Taylor, Kirstin Roussel; two brothers, R. Lee Briggs, Tom Briggs and wife Judy; two brothers-in-law, Bill Earp and wife Ruth, Gary Earp and wife Lyn; two sisters-in-law, Darlene Earp, Pat Briggs; many other loving nieces, nephews and other family members; and her “family” at Providence Independent Living. We would also like to express our gratitude to Summit Hospice for the excellent care provided to our family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Vessie Briggs; husband, Guy Earp; four brothers, Claude Briggs, Lloyd Briggs, Everett Briggs, Joe Briggs; one sister-in-law, Peggy Briggs; two brothers-in-law, Jim Earp, Ken Earp; and father-and-mother-in-law, Bill and Edith Earp. Visitation is Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Honey Hill Cemetery.
