*When Joe Emma Boggs and her twin sister Ida Arlena "Lena" were born in February 1869 in Arkansas, their father, Joseph, was 26 and their mother, Martha, was 24. She married William Hodge Lytal in 1881 in her hometown. They had two children during their marriage. She died in 1951 in White, Arkansas, at the age of 82.
