Cleta Faye Perdue, 84 of El Dorado, went to see Jesus Sunday, May 3, 2015, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. She was born February 18, 1931, to Tom Monroe and Vida Belle Carelock Hill in El Dorado.

She was a long-time member of the First Assembly of God Church, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher. Cleta Faye loved going to church and when she was younger, she sang in a quartet. She was a homemaker, babysitter and worked as a seamstress for Comet Cleaners. She loved to cook, and she baked the best fried apple pies. She never used a toothpick to test her cakes. A cake was done when the cake started to pull away from the sides of the pan.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her loving husband of 48 years, Herman Ray Perdue, Sr.; and five sisters, Vera Murphy, Cleo White, Hila Hill, Alverta Hubbard and Lorice Hill.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Herman R. Perdue Jr. (Virginia), three daughters, Lennis Primm (Travis), Debbie Sandifer (Tommy), Tamara Smith; eight grandchildren, Tonya Pannell, Mindy Groves, Patrick Primm, Chad Sandifer, Blake Sandifer, Hannah Smith, Matthew Perdue, Magen Perdue; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Dollie Tittle, Florece White; and one brother, Thomas Hill.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at the First Assembly of God Church.

A celebration of life service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Alan Womack and Rev. Greg Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at Parkers Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God Church, 2225 W. Hillsboro, El Dorado, AR 71730, Life Touch Hospice, 2301 Champagnolle Rd., El Dorado, AR 71730, or the charity of the donor’s choice.

The family will be at the Myrtelle’s House, 323 W. Oak St., El Dorado, AR 71730
