Nelda R. Tanner Batte, 80 of El Dorado, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 1, 2016, at Timberlane Health and Rehabilitation. She was born February, 18, 1936, to Oliver Perry “Jack” and Cleo Hinson Tanner in Standard Umpstead, AR.
She was a devoted member of Parkers Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a wonderful, loving wife, mother, and grandmother “Bebaw” who lived her life giving of herself to her family and others. She was truly a Godly virtuous woman who shared her deep faith in Christ her Savior with all that she met.
Nelda is preceded in death by her parents; and son, Timothy Brian Batte.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Clifford E. Batte; daughter, Cathy Lee; son-in-law, Robbie Lee all of El Dorado; brother, Oliver P. “O.P.”Tanner and wife, Betty of Fort Myers, FL; grandchildren, Breanna Lee of El Dorado, Cristen Colclasure and husband, Blake of Alexander, AR, Rebekah Lee of El Dorado; great granddaughter, Kinlee Colclasure of Alexander, AR; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Young’s.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Parkers Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Robbie Lee and Rev. Tracy Roden officiating. Burial will follow at Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
