Suzanne Ellis McDowell, 71, of El Dorado went home to be with her Lord on September 5, 2016 at the John Williamson Hospice House. Surrounded by family and friends. Born on February 7th, 1945 to the late Bert Ellis and Christine Ellis-Wolfe.

She retired from Colonial Bakery and worked at Becky’s Tanning Salon for 10 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Fred Ellis and Billy Ellis.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Wayne McDowell of El Dorado; two daughters, Tammy Woodall and Robbyn Couch (Phil) both of El Dorado; two brothers, Jimmy Ellis and Richard Ellis of Hot Springs; one sister, Evelyn Smith of Mabelvale; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren with two more on the way.

Visitation will be held at Northwest Baptist Church located at 5410 Northwest Avenue on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. with graveside services immediately following at 1:30 p.m. at Parkers Chapel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the John Williamson Hospice House.
