CARBON CITY Dora Cotton, born in Gravelly, Ark. February 9, 1888, died Sunday, August 7, 1994 at her home in Carbon City, (near Paris) Ark. at the age of 106. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ritcher Cotton, a daughter, Marie and a grandson, George Harold Rogers. Dora, along with her husband Rick were founders of Cotton Dairy. Since 1913 she delighted her customers with fine butter and other dairy products. She was a widely known member of the Short Mountain Community since 1925. She was also a longtime member of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Garland Cotton of Paris, Ark.; a daughter, Grace Catherine Rogers, of Paris, Ark.; five grandchildren, Junior Cotton, Judy Culver, James Wilson Rogers, Mary Kathryn Martin and Charles David Rogers; 17 great grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and loving friend, Juanita Kizer under whose care Mrs. Cotton thrived for many years.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 10,1994, at 10 a.m., at First Baptist Church, Paris, Ark. with burial following at McVay Cemetery under the direction of Smith Mortuary, Charleston, Rev. Tim Prock, pastor will officiate. (WWW.YellCountyObits.org, Submitted by: Patron, 8/7/1994)
