Wanda Marqueta "Markie" Harkins, who resided in Lavaca, Arkansas, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016, in Greenwood, Arkansas. She was born July 5, 1939, in Fort Smith, Arkansas to the late Benjamin Franklin Boggs, II and Ima Fern (Barnes) Boggs. She was 76 years old. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Harkins; and one brother, Bill Boggs.

Markie retired from Whirlpool, Inc. in Fort Smith. She also worked at EZ-Mart Convenient Store in Lavaca, and she was a member of Texas Rd. Church of Christ in Fort Smith.

Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 18th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Cremation and services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

She is survived by two daughters, LaFonda Ortiz and husband Raymond of Greenwood and Jackie Hauser and husband Mike of Hackett; two sons, Rick Harkins of Texas and Mark Harkins of Muldrow, Oklahoma; her loving sister, Sharon Harvey and husband Noel of Central City; numerous half-brothers and sisters; her sister-in-law, Connie Harkins of Medford, Oregon; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great- grandchild.
