*When Salendia Adeline Hodges was born on September 25, 1871, in White, Arkansas, her father, JOSEPH, was 22, and her mother, LOUISA, was 20. She married James William "Jim" Sloan and they had nine children together. She then married Casper Scott Greathouse on October 20, 1929. She died having lived for more than 100 years. She died on August 20, 1974, in Garner, Arkansas, at the age of 102, and was buried there.
