Joan Audra Luebben Baldwin passed from this life on October 28, 2019, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was born March 29, 1927, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alton Baldwin; companion, Bill Logan; daughter, Toni Marie; three sisters; and a brother.

Joan is survived by daughter, Becky Meyers (Bob) of Fort Smith; son, Dr. Steve A. Baldwin of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Cresta Livingston (Scott) of Houston, Texas, Dr. Audra Jackson (Trey) of Fort Smith, EO Meyers (Dr. Kelly) of Houston; Dr. Aaron Baldwin (Dr. Erin) of Hot Springs; Austen Baldwin of Hot Springs; and nine great-grandchildren.

During her life Joan was an avid painter, potter, reader, Master Gardener, and tennis member of the Golden Girls. She was a past President of the Grow and Show Garden Club. Joan worked as a Legal Secretary and was Chairman of their National Convention hosted in Hot Springs in 1968. She was the first woman official at the Oaklawn Jockey Club, was supervisor of Racing and a Placing Judge in the 1970s. Joan has been on numerous boards such as Mid America Museum, National Park Hospital Rehabilitation Board, Home Health Board, HSCC, YMCA, and the Hot Springs Arts Council.

There will be a private mass and memorial service.

Memorials may be made to Project Hope Food Bank – Hot Springs or Good Samaritan Clinic – Fort Smith.
