WEBB CITY, Mo. — Services for James M. Hoover, 71, West Fork, Ark., formerly of Webb City, who died Thursday at a Fayetteville, Ark., hospital after a long illness, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Moore's Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Brentwood (Ark.) Cemetery.
Mr. Hoover was born April 4, 1915, in Delaney, Ark., and moved to Fayetteville three years ago from Webb City. He was a retired welder and was a Protestant.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Stanley Hoover; two sons, Larry C. Hoover, Webb City, and Lonnie J. Hoover, Joplin; a daughter, Linda Kay Wade, Lakewood, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grand-child.

Webb City, Mo. -- Gladys F. Hoover, 67, of Webb City, Mo., former resident of Brentwood, died Monday, Oct. 9, 1989, in a Joplin hospital. Born March 12, 1922, at Beatrice, Neb., the daughter of Melvin R. and Amelia Standley, she was a homemaker and lived in Webb City since 1943 moving from Brentwood. She married James M. Hoover May 16, 1942, at Brentwood. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1967.
Survivors are two sons, Larry C. Hoover of Webb City and Lonnie J. Hoover of Joplin, Mo.; a daughter, Linda Kay Wade of Gramby, Mo.; two brothers, Bill Standley of Elkins, and Donald Dean Standley of Webb City; a sister, Dollie McCullough of Sumner, Wash.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Brentwood Cemetery under the direction of Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home at Webb City, Mo. Visitation is 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral home.
