Mary Jeanette Smith
of Searcy, AR

January 8, 1920 - May 14, 2013

Mary Jeanette Smith, 93 was born to Henry Payne and Margaret Gerbert Batts on January 8, 1920 in La Grange, Georgia and passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 in Searcy, Arkansas.

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of St. James Catholic Church in Searcy, Arkansas.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Jess Smith, her twin sister Geneva Pratt, and a brother Robert Batts.

She is survived by a daughter, Angela Joyner (Gerald) Searcy, two sons Rodney Smith (Sandra) of Little Rock, Willard Smith (Carolyn) of North Little Rock, eight grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, sister Bennie Buch (Ken) of Hot Springs Village, brother William Batts, of Bryant, brother Francis Batts (Frances) of Searcy, sister Elizabeth Wofford, of Sherwood, sister Ronnie Adams (Charlie) of Hot Springs, other relatives and friends.

Visitation from 5-6:30 PM Thursday, May 16, 2013 with Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 4:30 PM at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy. A Mass of Christian Burial at 2 PM Friday, May 17, 2013 at St. James Catholic Church in Searcy. Interment in St. Paul Cemetery, Searcy, Arkansas.
