Karen J. Batts, 45, of Searcy, passed away on Sunday, March 8 (2009).
Mrs. Batts was born July 12, 1963, in Harrison, the daughter of Ray and Marie Thornton Huffman. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. James Catholic Church.
Survivors are her husband, Mitchell Batts; three sons, Christopher Brandon Deen Batts, Mitchell Payne Batts, Jr., and Garren Kayne Batts; her father, Ray Huffman of Dover; and sisters, Jan Anderson of Dallas, Ga., Jean Twiggs of West Fork, Judy Daniels of Harrison, Floy Goad of Bradford and Corinne Linam of Dover.
She was preceded in death by her mother; sister, Billie Wells; and two brothers, Jimmy Ellis and Thomas Huffman.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 12, at St. James Catholic Church. Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, at the church with visitation with the family to follow.
