Herbert Glen Bennett, age 85, of Letona, died Monday, January 23, 2006. He was born Wednesday, May 3, 1920 in Letona to John Richard and Ollie Yancey Bennett. He is survived by his wife Betty Jo; two daughters Donna Kay Waller and her husband Paul and Patricia Dianne Poe and her husband Darrell, all of Letona; three granddaughters Laura Ann Bennett, Angela Kay Baker, and Tiffany Alicia Poe, all of Letona; one grandson Nathan Wade Poe of Letona; two great grandchildren Brandon Lee Bennett and Matthew Ryan Bennett, both of Letona; one sister Ardith Hughes of Letona; and 20 nieces and nephews along with a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Ollie Bennett; three brothers Elbert, L.D., and Carrell Bennett; and three sisters Arvie McCosh, Martha Spangler, and Bessie Marsh. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to: City of Letona, Letona Veteran's Memorial Fund, C/O Regions Bank, 200 West Race, Searcy Arkansas 72143. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 26, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home with interment following at Pickens Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 25, 2006 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home.
