Marcus Guthrie, 33, of Beebe, was born April 18, 1978 in Searcy, Arkansas and left this life October 24, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Guthrie, and son, Matthew Hunter Guthrie, of Beebe, Arkansas. Marcus was a Probation and Parole Agent for the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections. He was a graduate of Harding University with a bachelors degree in kinesiology. He was of the Baptist faith. Matthew was the center of Marcus' world. He loved spending time with his family. Marcus was an avid outdoorsman. He loved deer, duck and turkey hunting. He was a sports enthusiast. He loved football, especially his beloved Razorbacks, and watching his nephew on Friday nights. Marcus was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; his maternal grandmother; and his brother-in-law, James David Ahillen. Marcus is also survived by his father, Bob Guthrie and his wife Debbie of Little Rock; His mother Patricia Miller and her husband Phil of Little Rock; one brother, Bruce and his wife Lesley; a nephew Mason and a niece Madison of Searcy; one grandfather, Bully Stephenson of Georgetown and one grandmother, Fran Miller of Little Rock; his in-laws, James Ahillen and his wife Debbie and Jared Ahillen of Searcy; and Rebekah Ahillen of Beebe. Marcus was loved by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Memorials may be made to a trust fund for Marcus and Sarah's son, Matthew, for his college education at First Security Bank, 314 N. Spring St., Searcy, AR 72143
