BENTONVILLE - Harold L. Norton, 87, of Bentonville passed away May 4, 2021, in his home. He was born Jan. 21, 1934, in Deer, Ark., the son of Norval and Ethel Jane Smith Norton.
Harold and his wife, Glenda, owned and operated the Centerton Inn Restaurant for eight years. They also owned N&N Trucking. He also was a farmer and carpenter. Harold was a member of God's Lighthouse Church and a Mason. One of his greatest passions was raising and training Treeing Walkers and raccoon hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers James Lewell and Jack Paul Norton.
He is survived by wife Glenda Whited Norton, they were married April 9, 1956, in Huntsville, Ark.; daughters Kim Mathis and husband Mark, Vickie Barnett and husband Don, all of Centerton, Debra Jackson and husband Steve of Gentry, Kelly Joyner and husband James of Hindsville; brother Leroy Norton of Bentonville; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021, at God's Lighthouse Church in Bentonville. Interment will follow in the Coffelt Cemetery, Vaughn, Ark. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lone Pine Ranch Animal Shelter. BENTONVILLE — Glenda Norton, 83, of Bentonville, Arkansas, passed away October 18, 2021, at her home. She was born January 24, 1938, in Hiwasse, Arkansas, to Glen Harvey and Lois Marie Roughton Whited.
She married Harold L. Norton April 9, 1956, in Huntsville, Arkansas.
She is preceded in death by husband, Harold and her parents, her brother, Earl Whited.
She is survived by her daughters, Kim Mathis and husband Mark, Vickie Barnett and husband Don, all of Centerton, Debra Jackson and husband Steve of Gentry, Kelly Joyner and husband James of Hindsville, siblings, Gail Whited of Pineville, Missouri, and Vivian Vandiver of Wainwright, Oklahoma, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services 2 p.m., Thursday, October 21, 2021, at God's Lighthouse Church in Bentonville. Interment in the Coffelt Cemetery in Vaughn, Arkansas. Visitation 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, at the God's Lighthouse Church.
In lieu of flowers, you may donate to Circle of Life Hospice or Lone Pine Animal Shelter.
