Stockton.

Betty had a varied career during her life, as a salesclerk in Little Rock, as an airplane parts factory worker during the war, cook at the old Paris Hospital and Subiaco Abbey, and salesclerk at The Koret and Warren's Shoe Store in Paris. Many of those years were also spent as a full-time mother, caring for an ill father-in-law, and a hard working husband, cooking extraordinary meals, canning during hot summers, sewing her children's clothes and so much more.
Betty loved her bingo games, and was an expert quilter as all of her immediate family can attest to as they have all been fortunate to have been recipients of the love and labor that she put into each one. She was a person who gave to others, donating her quilts and afghans to St. Joseph Catholic Church, both in Paris and Fayetteville. She was a past President of the Mothers Altar Society. Betty loved gardening, taking pride in planting many flowers wherever she lived, even having a number of plants at the nursing home where she was a resident for the past 2 years. She also gave of her time volunteering, whether it was at her church in Paris or the Senior Citizens Centers in Paris and Fayetteville. Betty also loved to dance, attending many dances at the Senior Citizens Centers and even when she became wheelchair bound at the nursing home, she still danced with her hands and feet.

We also cannot forget the wonderful and caring staff of Washington Regional Hospital, Dr. Stanley Bradley, Paul Woodhouse, and especially Alma, her volunteer aide, and Diane, her caring primary nurse.
