When Mary Lease Castleberry Nicholson was born on August 20, 1895, in Ashdown, Arkansas, her father, James, was 45, and her mother, Lucinda, was 22. She married Clyde Lee Nicholson on November 30, 1915, in Searcy, Arkansas. They had six children during their marriage. She died on December 15, 1991, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 96, and was buried in White, Arkansas.
