Winslow — Omar Tomlinson, 53, of Winslow died Saturday at his home. Born Nov. 25, 1932, at Winslow, the son of Amzi and Eunice Wilks Tomlinson, he was a retired carpenter and a lifetime resident of the area.

Survivors are his wife, Josephene Meadors Tomlinson of the home; a daughter, Anita Sweigart of Fayetteville; his mother, Eunice Smith of Fayetteville; three sisters, Loyce Leeds and Jean Page, both of Kansas City, Mo., and Gladys Center of West Fork.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Brentwood Cemetery, under the direction of Moore's Chapel of Fayetteville.

WINSLOW — Josephene Tomlinson, age 82, passed away in Prairie Grove surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 17, 2019. She was born on Oct. 21, 1936, at Sunset (Winslow, Ark.) to Claud and Lillie (Parker) Meadors.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Omar Tomlinson and James Piatt, three brothers, and four sisters.

Josephene was a longtime resident of Winslow and the youngest of 10 siblings. She enjoyed crafting, fishing, gardening and country music, but most of all her great-grandson, Brooks. Josephene retired from the University of Arkansas and then again from the Washington County Courthouse.

She is survived by her daughter, Anita and husband Carl Sweigart of Prairie Grove; grandchildren, Ashley and David Taylor of Prairie Grove, Hayley and Wes Long of Farmington, one great-grandson, Brooks Taylor; nephew Johnny Schader and Michelle Webb of Brannan; and two sisters, Geneva and Arliss Perry of Fayetteville and Indinola and Charles Williams of Fayetteville.

Graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday March 20, 2019, at the Brentwood Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
