HIWASSE — Paul M. Mahon, 72, of Hiwasse, Ark., died Saturday, July 31, 2010, at the Northwest Medical Center, Bentonville, Ark. He was born March 14, 1938, in Heber Springs, Ark., to Jeff R. Mahon and Birl Williams Mahon.

He was raised and educated in Arkansas. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1962. Paul married Fonnie Pruitt on Aug, 31, 1962, in Bentonville, Ark. He was employed by Bear Brand Hosiery for more than 10 years and ran a bulldozer service until 1983. He operated a ranch in the Hiwasse area until his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Fonnie Mahon, of Hiwasse, Ark.; two sons, Paul David Mahon of Hiwasse, Ark., Jeff Mahon and his wife Jennifer of Gravette, Ark.; one daughter Pamela Diane Galvan of Bella Vista, Ark.; two brothers, Roy Mahon and his wife Sue of Republic, Mo., Art Mahon and his wife Barb of Bentonville, Ark.; one sister, Loania Burns and her husband Max of Rogers, Ark.; three grandchildren, Lindsey Galvan, Megan Galvan, Mary Mahon.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, in the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel. A Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010, at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hiwasse, Ark. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.

Fonnie Mae Mahon, 76, of Hiwasse, died on Sunday, April 14, 2019, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville.

She was a lifelong resident of Hiwasse and a graduate of Gravette High School in 1960. In 1965, she and her husband, Paul, purchased their home and property, starting Mahon Farms and raising turkey, cattle, registered quarter-horses, and three children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Mahon; and son, Jeff Corby Mahon of Hiwasse; her father and mother, Corby James and Mary Della Pruitt of Hiwasse; one brother, James (Jim) Corby Pruitt of Gravette; one sister, Bonnie Lou Mahon of Republic, Mo.

She is survived by her children, Paul David Mahon of Hiwasse and Pamela Diane Sandford and husband James Douglas Sandford of Gravette; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Mahon of Hiwasse; three grandchildren, Lindsey Danielle Foster and husband Andrew of Hiwasse, Megan Lauren Galvan of Frisco, Texas, and Mary Jane Mahon of Hiwasse; one great-grandchild, Charles Vann Foster of Hiwasse.

A visitation will be held 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, April 18, at Bella Vista Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, April 19, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista.
