Carolyn Dean Bates, 71, of Clarksville died Saturday, October 1, 2011 at her home. Born Sunday, August 25, 1940, in Muldrow, OK., to Monroe and Mamie (Stevenson) Morgan she was a homemaker and member of the First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two daughters: Melinda (Bo) Middleton and Kelly (Justin) Waterman both of Clarksville; three sons: Michael (Carolyn) Morgan and Jeffrey (Deanna) Bates both of Lamar; and Scotty Sosebee of Gladewater, TX; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Macie Trice, Roland, OK; Melba Barnes, Muldrow, OK; and Lucille Dustman, Gladewater, TX.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband: Larry Randall Bates.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home with Brother Vernon Bass presiding.
Burial will be in Stillwell Cemetery, Clarksville, AR
