*Obituary

Bob Hale, 61, of Searcy, passed from this life into eternity on Thursday,
February 2, 2017. He was born September 9, 1955, the son of Milton (Truman)
and Amanda Hale. On June 15, 1979, a great team was formed, as he married
the former Callie McAfee. Bob worked for many years in the trucking
industry, but is perhaps best known with Callie as the co-owners and
operators of convenience stores and other retail businesses in the Searcy
area. His expertise was public relations. For Bob, it was all about the
people. He lived to serve others, to be a source of encouragement for them,
and to point them a little closer in the right direction through his wisdom.

Although Bob loved working with the public, his job did not define who he
was. First and foremost, he was a Christian. He was baptized as a young
man, but after a time away from God, he was restored to the Lord nearly 30
years ago. He preached and taught in churches around central Arkansas,
including Mount Vernon, Pangburn, Searcy, and Quitman. He loved the Lord,
and he loved the Lord’s church.

Left behind to remember this giant of a man is his wonderful wife Callie, a
daughter, Stephanie Lowery and her husband Mark, a son, Alex and his wife
Sarah, a host of grandchildren, as well as countless other family members,
wonderful friends, and brethren.
