Carol Glee Davis, 69, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Tuesday, April 29, 2003, at Bates Medical Center in Bentonville, Ark. She was born Nov. 23, 1933, in Elmo, Mo., to Boyd Tudder and Goldie Norman Tudder.
She was raised and educated in Maryville, Mo. She graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with degrees in English and journalism. She married Charles "Chuck" Davis in December 1956 in St. Joseph, Mo. She taught in public schools in Corning, Iowa; and Los Angeles, Calif. She moved to Bella Vista in 1997 from Pittsburgh, Pa. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and playing bridge.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Tudder and Donald Tudder.
Survivors include her husband, Charles "Chuck" Davis; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael S. Davis and Judee Davis of Ipswich, Mass., and William S. Davis of Streetsboro, Ohio.; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan R. Albert and Gary Albert of St. Charles, Ill.; a brother and sister-in-law, Joe Tudder and Kim Tudder of Orono, Maine; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen Bivans and Richard Bivans of Titusville, Fla., and Bette Baxter and Robert Baxter of Sun City, Ariz.; and four grandchildren, Ryan Davis, Sean Davis, Brent Carmichael and Erin Carmichael.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, at the First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista with the Rev. Thomas Stone and the Rev. Wayne Bartruff.
Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of Dorothy J. Mortensen, 4 Kensington Lane, Bella Vista, AR 72714.
