December 19, 1936 - February 5, 2013
Eddie Gene “Bill” Morgan was born to Emmit and Sally on December 19, 1936 in Pace City, Arkansas. He departed this life on February 5, 2013 at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden, AR. Those who preceded him in death are his wife, Pearlie Mae (Burch) Morgan; his father and mother, Emmit and Sally Morgan and others resting with him J. C. Morgan, Robert Morgan, Robert Lee Morgan, Johnny Pace, Daisy Morgan, E. B. Morgan, and Raydell Morgan.
He gave his life to Christ and united with Good Hope Baptist Church in Buena Vista, AR. E. G. Morgan was a sole proprietor as a “pulpwood hauler” until he became disabled.
He was united in holy matrimony to Pearlie Mae (Burch) Morgan on April 7, 1962 and they shared their lives together until she was called home on July 5, 2007. In this courtship and marriage five children were born.
Those left to cherish his memories are four daughter, Loraine Gilmore (Jimmy) of Bearden, Arkansas, Patricia Diane Thomas, Sherry Denis Bonet (Chris), of Camden, Arkansas, Kristy Haymon (Ron) of Little Rock, Arkansas; three sons, Joe Edward Morgan (Mary Lou), Eddie Dean Morgan and Darryl Gene Morgan, all of Camden, Arkansas; and one sister, Elsie Curry of Camden, Arkansas. He was reared as a brother to Odell Morgan of Kansas City, Missouri; 23 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Services will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, at Good Hope Baptist Church in Buena Vista, Arkansas followed by interment at Good Hope Cemetery.
