Mary Lou Fallon, 87, of Bella Vista, Arkansas died October 5, 2017 at Circle of Life, Legacy Village. She was born August 20, 1930 in St Cloud, Minnesota to Thomas Hanlon and Josephine Hanlon.
Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years, Robert J Fallon Sr.; two daughters, Catherine Schultz (Doug), Mary Jo Fallon (Enzo Ricci); two sons, Robert J Fallon Jr (Margret)., Thomas Fallon (Kelli LaFleur) and one sister, Carole Gebhardt; eight grandchildren (Keely, Lauren, Darby, Bobby, Michael, Joe, Kaitlyn and Kevin) and 11 great grandchildren (Reagan, Casey, Cameron, JD, Dillion, Charlie, Penelope, Pearl, Grayson, Millie Rose and Baby Fallon -due this week!)
Mary Lou received her baccalaureate in English from St. Cloud State. During her studies she received the honor of being named “Miss St. Cloud” in 1952. Became a High School teacher, teaching English literature. She found the love of her life working her summers in Glacier National Park, Montana as the “Indian Hostess”
Mary Lou and Bob married in 1954, and soon traveled to Germany and lived for two and half years, giving birth to her first two children. Mary Lou’s and Bob’s partnership would take the family to many locations and adding two more children. Mary Lou was the glue to the family fabric providing love, humor, guidance and inspiration for us all.
Arkansas was last stop for moving but her life continued with an adventurous retirement. Mary Lou enjoyed her growing extended family from spouses to grand and great grandchildren. Developed her golf game, was first mate on the Summer Wind and found time to express her artistic creativity with craft art projects. All the while maintaining status as undefeated Scrabble Champion.
Mary Lou will be missed by so many. Her joyous spirt and contagious laughter, will long be remembered and passed on to the upcoming generations of the Fallon Clan
A memorial service will be held at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Bella Vista at 11:00 AM, October 10, 2017. Burial will be at the Bella Vista Memorial Garden Cemetery following the service.
