James Arch King, 92, of Fort Smith, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, March 17, 2010. Arch was born December 12, 1917 to Dr. Reuben Ephraim and Jessie Ogden King of Harmony, Arkansas.

Arch was the youngest of six children delivered by his father.
After graduating from high school in Clarksville, Arch served with the U.S. Army during WWII at Camp Callan, CA. He was employed and retired from Dixie Cup. He was a long time member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church where he taught Men's class for many years and served in any area he was needed. His love for his family, fellow man and church was only surpassed by his love of God. He made many friends during his daily three mile walks for 30 years.

He is predeceased by his parents, a sister, Mabel Laster and brothers, Paul King, Noel King, Abe King and Oden King.

Arch leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 68 years, Gracia Ragon King; two daughters, Linda Cullen (Curtis) of Richardson, TX and Kay Hill (Harold) of Perryville, AR. He has seven grandchildren, James Cullen (Tami), Jon Cullen (Keli), Kari Allen (Brian), Matt Cullen, Jarod Cato, Brian Hill (Cheri), John Hill (Layne), ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.


Funeral Services were held Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Grand Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Phil Whitten and Rev. Mike Stark officiating. Graveside service was Saturday at Lone Pine Cemetery in Harmony, AR under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were his grandsons.

Gracia Eulene Ragon King, 93, of Fort Smith died January 28, 2013 in Perryville, AR.
She was born October 4, 1919 in Spadra, AR to Louis Eli and Virgie Mary Hardin Ragon.

She attended schools in Spadra and Clarksville. After graduating High School she was accepted into the St. Edwards School of Nursing. Following the death of her father she left school to help her family. In 1941 Gracia married James Arch King of Harmony, AR, son of Dr. Reuben and Jessie Ogden King. Gracia and Arch shared 68 years together before his death in March 2010.
Gracia was a long time member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church joining in 1943. A dedicated member, Gracia served her church in many ways including twenty five years as the church pianist, choir member, and teaching an adult women's Bible class. Gracia will be sorely missed but her spirit lives on within us forever! Gracia was truly respected by all and loved by many.

Gracia is survived by her two daughters, Linda Cullen and husband Curtis of Richardson, TX., Kay Hill and husband Harold of Perryville, AR; two sisters, Ouida Collier of The Woodlands, TX and Martha Kields of Memphis, TN; six grandchildren, James and wife Tami Cullen, Jon and wife Keli Cullen, Matt Cullen, Jarod Cato, Brian Hill, and John Hill; and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Arch King; brother, James Louis Ragon; and granddaughter, Kari Cato Allen.

Funeral service will be Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Grand Avenue Baptist Church. Burial will be at 2:00 PM in Lone Pine Cemetery near Clarksville all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons
