November 19, 1949 - November 7, 2021

David Patterson, 71, of Floral, AR, passed away Sunday, November 7th, 2021. He was born on November 19th, 1949, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to the late Solomon Owen and Etta Faye Decker Patterson.

Dave faithfully attended New Bethel Baptist Church in Floral. He enjoyed his family, hunting, his life on the farm and caring for all his animals. He was an electrician by trade.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam and was a proud patriot that loved his country dearly.

Dave was a very hard worker, rising early to get to work on the farm, out in the electrical field, helping others, and, also, in the many other endeavors he pursued. He especially loved and was proud of his family, his Church family, and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father today due to his acceptance of Jesus Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Carol Sinks Patterson; two sisters, Karen Patterson, and Janet Allen; and one brother, Owen Patterson.

He is survived by his son David Patterson of Batesville, and his daughters, Gayla Danette Martin of Bono and Kerri Hart of Jonesboro; eight grandchildren, Austin Turner, Georgia Caroline, Scarlett, GiGi, Daniel and Lena Patterson, Madlyne and Conner Hart; In addition, his stepdaughter, Lou Ann Hawks and her husband Jeffery of Mayflower, his step-son Tommy Walker and his wife Edie of Little Rock; six step-grandchildren: Will Walker and his wife Amber of Searcy, Morgan Hawks and his wife Haley of Alexander, Katie Hawks, Aaron Walker, Ally Walker, and Thomas Walker all of Little Rock, his step-great grandchildren, Josie and Luke Hawks, and a special pet, Rosie, and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

Memorial Graveside service will be Friday, November 12, 2021, at 2 P.M. in the Lawrence Memorial Park with Bro. Randy Altom officiating.

Carolyn Katherine Patterson, 72, of Floral passed away June 27, 2016. She was born March 6, 1944 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to Tom Sinks and Kathern (Gentry) Sinks.

She attended the New Bethel Baptist Church in Floral. She enjoyed life on the farm, caring for all her animals, tending her flowers, and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents Tom and Kathern Sinks of Walnut Ridge.

She is survived by her husband David Patterson, her son Tommy Walker and his wife Edie of Little Rock, her daughter LouAnn Hawks and her husband Jeffery of Maumelle, three sisters Peggy Woodard, Linda Walker, and Brenda Pemberton, six grandchildren: Will Walker and his wife Amber of Searcy, Morgan Hawks, Katie Hawks, Aaron Walker, Ally Walker, and Thomas Walker all of Little Rock, and two special pets, Brody and Rosie, and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

Visitation will be Friday July 1 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM both at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Randy Altom officiating.

Interment will follow at the Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge.
