Anna Mae Payne was born on November 11, 1937 in Cave Creek, Arkansas to Walter Charles and Vernie Mirandi (Henson) Christian. She passed away on September 11, 2021 in Clarksville, Arkansas at the age of 83. She was a homemaker, a member of Oakland Street Full Gospel Church, youth leader, and Sunday school teacher.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Charles Christian; her sister, Lois McCutcheon; her granddaughter, Allison Payne; her great-granddaughter, Braylee Dalton.
She is survived by her husband, David Hewitt Payne of the home; her sons, David Michael Payne and wife, Darla of Clarksville, Arkansas; Mark Elton Payne and wife, Christina of Hagarville, Arkansas; her daughters, Nancy Gale Payne of Clarksville, Arkansas; Margaret Ann (Payne) Harmon and husband, Bud of Knoxville, Arkansas; her sisters, Audrey Hensley of Harrison, Arkansas; Verna Jean Milam and husband, Paul of Valley Springs, Arkansas; Bettye Robinson and husband, Johnny of Lead Hill, Arkansas; her 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Open viewing is from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Hardwicke Funeral Home in Clarksville, Arkansas.
Graveside services are 10 a.m., Friday, September 17, 2021 at Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville, Arkansas with Reverend Eddie Reed officiating. Pallbearers are Eric Payne, Chris Payne, Matthew Payne, Jessie Clark, Johnathan Burnard, and Donnie Reames. Honorary Pallbearers are her great-grandchildren.
